Vesuviate Watches aims to create the ultimate tool-watch, specifically designed for individuals leading active lifestyles and engineered for enthusiasts of diving, flying, racing, sailing, sports, and more.

Their collection features highly durable tool-watches made from carefully selected materials. Vesuviate employs a thermochemical surface treatment that alters the material’s properties at the molecular level. Unlike common surface coatings like PVD, CVD, or DLC, which simply apply a thin layer to the metal, their process diffuses nitrogen ions into the surface, forming a hardened outer layer. This enhances hardness, wear resistance, and overall durability, ensuring the watches can withstand extreme environments while offering improved lifespan, strength, and fatigue resistance.

This thermochemical process differs from surface coatings, which may eventually peel or flake due to poor adhesion. Instead, the treatment permanently modifies the material, providing a long-lasting, robust solution.

With over 30 years of industry experience, including specialization in exotic materials for harsh environments such as H2S sour service and high-pressure, high-temperature conditions, Vesuviate combines precision engineering and horological expertise. This ensures their watches perform in the most demanding settings, all at an affordable price.

The brand name "Vesuviate" references the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The logo, originally a fire flame, was revised to a fireball to function as a 360-degree symbol for the watch crown and clasp. Mount Vesuvius, near the Bay of Naples, is renowned for its 79 A.D. eruption that buried the ancient city of Pompeii. Its last recorded eruption occurred in March 1944.
