Dailuaine 10YO Reserve Cask (SMOS) Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml (ABV48%)

Elixir Distillers is an independent bottler that released The Single Malts of Scotland range in 2002. This range consists of vintage single malt Scotch whiskies selected for their individual quality and character. Along with the classic single cask collection, the range includes the Director's Special series personally selected by Sukhinder Singh, as well as two small-batch collections: the accessible Reserve Casks and the more mature Marriage of Casks.

A small batch of six hogsheads and one barrel from Dailuaine Distillery have been used to create this Speyside Single Malt, distilled between 2006 to 2011 and aged for a minimum of 10 years. This is a fruity, creamy whisky with bright citrusy notes.

Nose - A few slices of honeydew melon alongside warm toast with lashings of butter and honey.

Palate - Melon evolves on the palate into juicy pear with bright, citrusy notes, like lemon rind that has been zested across the glass. Vanilla cream with clusters of honey roasted nuts rounds out the texture and gives balance to the citrus.

Finish - The lemon zest finishes with more candied sweetness, like lemon sherbert. Almonds and hazelnut become more distinct and combine with orchard fruits to lend to the well known texture and weight of Dailuaine Single Malt.
