Galvin Watch Company
Galvin Watch Company, based in Sydney, Australia, is a family-owned business led by Susan Galvin. Inspired by her upbringing in Finnish Lapland, Susan blends Nordic minimalist design with the vibrant landscapes of her heritage, creating watches that uniquely combine aesthetics and functionality.
Susan's passion for watchmaking began at Kelloseppäkoulu (The Finnish School of Watchmaking) in 2007, where she created a bespoke mechanical watch for her father. This experience inspired her to establish her own watch brand.
After graduating, Susan worked at Tag Heuer in Manchester, UK, and later joined OMEGA in Sydney in 2016, where she gained valuable expertise in servicing mechanical movements and received training at OMEGA Headquarters in Biel, Switzerland.
Facing redundancy in early 2020 while on maternity leave, Susan founded Galvin Watch Company. A successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and Indiegogo raised over $125,000 in 60 days, enabling the launch of the Alku Collection and marking the start of Galvin Watch Company's journey in the watchmaking industry.
