Aged in 200L American Oak ex-Bourbon casks for a minimum of five years, the whisky then sees secondary maturation in French Oak barriques that had Tasmanian Pinot Noir aged in them. This secondary maturation in French Oak ex-Tasmanian Pinot Noir casks adds beautiful red berry notes and a unique Tasmanian influence to this small batch single malt.
Nose - Candied oranges lead with stewed fruits, sultanas with a clove whisper.
Palate - Subtle cinnamon spice, cereal hints.
Finish - Restrained to a smooth end with soothing spice.
