Glen Ord 2008 13 Year Old UCF Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml (Signatory Vintage) (ABV 46%)

This single malt whisky was distilled in 2008 at the Glen Ord Distillery in the Highland region of Scotland. It was then placed into three separate Hogsheads for no less than 13 years. Bottled with natural colour and no chill-filtration at 46% ABV from cask numbers 318697, 318698, 318700 as part of the Signatory Vintage Un-Chillfiltered Collection.

Signatory Vintage are an independent bottler founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington. The name ‘Signatory’ was derived from the initial intention to find a person of suitable standing to sign the labels for bottles drawn from a single cask. The first cask bottled was a 1968 Glenlivet which quickly sold through long before any suitable signee could be found.

Signatory currently bottle at three strengths: 43%, 46% Unchillfiltered (UCF) and Cask Strength. To add proof of authenticity to their cask strength bottlings, Signatory always include the cask numbers, date of distillation, date of bottling and number of bottles produced.

Nose - Baked apples drizzled with caramel, toasted peanuts and vanilla spice.

Palate - Malty grains with milk chocolate, creamy vanilla, soft spices and toffee.

Finish - Mini milk ice lollies, soft spices and more sweet and well integrates toffee sweetness.
