Bertrand Uberach 5 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 700ml (ABV 42.2%)

The Uberach Whisky d'Alsace are aged in barrels carefully selected by Jean Metzger, in the most famous cellars of Banuyls. The chosen barrels hosted sweet wines for several years, before joining Uberach.

Made from a local organic barley brew distilled in small Holstein stills. Aged in new French oak and Banyuls barrels for a minimum of 5 years.

Nose - The first nose is reminiscent of eaux-de-vie of queen-claude, pear and mirabelle. It also evokes aromas specific to the brew with notes of cereals. Resolutely floral, on honeysuckle, heady flowers, lavender and holly, this whisky opens new horizons. These notes of eaux-de-vie then turn into ripe fruit.

Palate - The tasting is gourmet, also evoking a caramelized pear pie embellished with Alsatian cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate, a milky sweetness with the scent of honey that evolves towards the register of heady flowers and dried herbs such as black tea. This beautiful length in the mouth always offers these vegetal and fruity notes and extends to subtle spices such as pepper and ginger.
