This limited edition is crafted predominantly from peated malts matured in re-charred ex-shochu casks and bourbon barrels, with the final blend adding a selection of whiskies from other select casks to round out the flavour.
The result is a gentle smokiness balanced with refined, juicy flavours of fruit and honey. Matured in warehouses where the cool ocean breeze sweeps through in winter, it carries a subtle hint of salinity.
Nose - Blackcurrant, caramel, honey butter, baguette, gentle bonito dashi
Palate - Quince candy, pear, kumquat compote, smoked bacon, salt candy, soybean flour.
Finish - Long aftertaste of quince and a hint of kumquat peel.
Type: Japanese Whisky
Distillery: Kanosuke
